The overall goal, here at Btrue Organics, is not to eliminate the use of chemical-laden personal care products; rather the goal is to make consumers aware of the existence of those chemicals in personal care products and their possible association to human health problems. We, at Btrue Organics, believe if the consumers are aware, they will make a conscious effort to choose personal care products with reduced chemical toxins.
We are aware that some chemicals are needed for some products and that not all chemicals are bad. We know consumers can have an allergic reaction to some chemical ingredients, but allergic reactions don’t necessarily make an ingredient toxic. Many people have allergies to certain foods, for example, peanuts, that millions of others can eat and experience no allergic reaction. But peanuts generally are a healthy food. Also, many people are on blood pressure medication cannot have grapefruit – but we all know that grapefruit is not a toxic food in general. Of course, keep in mind, that ANYTHING can become toxic to our bodies – even water. Too much of anything can become a poison.
There are some manufacturers that don’t understand how to formulate products and thus rely solely on the chemist to formulate their products. Unfortunately, many chemists are still formulating from the old formulation method, or simply just using the ingredients that are the cheapest or even the cheapest form of those ingredients. They don’t want to reformulate a product using non-paraben preservatives, for example, because that would force them to possibly change many other ingredients in the product, add new ingredients, change the quantities of the ingredients, etc. which can be costly. Instead, they focus on how to make the product even cheaper and how to “water down” the product – all to save the company money.
This might be saving the company money, but it is also causing the consumer’s health to be in jeopardy. We already see the devastating effects of these toxins in adults today, but if you really think about it, we still don’t truly know the long-term effects of chemicals, preservatives, etc. on children since this is a relatively new practice of adding these ingredients into personal care products. Adults today weren’t exposed to as much chemicals when they were growing up. The levels of chemicals in products are increasing each year. Kids as young as 4 years old have cell phones. Did you have a cell phone when you were 4? Imagine what an impact that makes on a child’s life, who then uses chemical-laden personal products on top of all that that have ten times more chemicals than it did when you were your child’s age.
We believe the solution is education. We will continue to research personal care products ingredients so that we may continue to have available to you, the best non-toxic skincare, the best natural skincare and the best organic skincare products.

I can see that you all are discovering Hollywood’s secret treasure, Btrue Organics. I love the natural skin care & hair care products they carry in the store. I found healthy skin care products there that I could find at whole foods.

It was so great to visit downtown hollywood again, I visited the most amazing store, B-True Organics. I was truly impressed with the chemical free and organic lines they have in the store. but I was More impressed that they actually knew so much info about each line.

I love natural & organic products so I was so happy when this store opened up. They have a lot of hair and skin care products that aren’t sold at other stores. I purchased the Kinky Curly Detangler from there recently, and it is an AMAZING product. I can have just that detangler in my hair and nothing else, and it comes out so nice and soft and practically no frizz. I have type 3b hair. I usually have to use lots of different products just to achieve the look I want. This one product did SO much. I will definitely purchase from B-True again.

Argan oil, or Moroccan oil, has become very popular as of recently in many hair and skin products. But did you know that it has been used by Moroccan women for hundreds of years? Moroccan women use this oil to moisturize and protect their skin and hair – it keeps them looking young.
Yes, you can use argan oil on your face. This oil will not make your face greasy – it absorbs very quickly. If you do feel that you look too oily, you have used too much. Start with a pea-sized amount and adjust as needed. We personally use this oil everyday on our hair, face and skin. It leaves our skin flawless and glowing and prevents signs of aging. It even helps with acne and other skin conditions. It makes our hair soft, tames frizz, adds major shine and helps mend split ends.
Argan oil can even be used on other areas of the body, such as on scars or even people suffering from eczema or psoriasis. It does not matter if you have oily skin or dry skin – argan oil will balance out the oil so you have the perfect level of moisture.
